Senior Bookkeeper/team lead

Job Description

Evergreen Bookkeeping, LLC, is a truly flexible and fully remote workplace. The team is growing and we are ready to add a new role to our organization. As a senior bookkeeper, you would be responsible for a book of your own clients, but you’d also spend time helping with quality assurance reviews of other bookkeepers’ work. You will have the opportunity to mentor and train some more junior bookkeepers. Annually, you’d would oversee/manage some of our closing tasks for year-end. This role would start out 25-30 hours per week, but can grow to full-time if desired.

 

Technical Skills required:

  • Must be confident in both QuickBooks online and desktop

  • Able to record and reconcile payroll from third-party providers

  • Document processes and workflows; update documentation as tasks change over time

  • Confident drafting a plan for complex or large clean-up projects, and delegating and supervising tasks handled by more junior team members

  • Review software integrations to ensure data syncing from other sources is being recorded accurately.

  • Create and maintain complex excel worksheets.

  • Have an eye for details and the ability to spot and solve errors independently.

 

Other skills required:

  • Must be able to follow consistent firm procedures.

  • Time tracking per project is required (QBTime).

  • Must be confident working with paperless/cloud-based software systems

  • Keeping your calendar and project management software (Karbon) updated.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate with the team.

  • Good communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration

  • Able to embrace a growth-mindset and adapt as the firm evolves.

  • Have a drive to provide excellent service for our clients.

  • Reverence and sensitivity to the confidentiality of client data.

 

Compensation depends on experience, ranging from $32-42 per hour
